Dear Deer Ridge Family,

I was drawn to Mark because of his patience, thoughtful and non-judgmental spirit. He took the time to hear me…truly hear me and see me…the real me; the good, the bad, and the ugly. He was my sounding board. We could talk honestly and openly about anything and everything. These very features have allowed us to build an amazing life together.

My love languages are acts of service and quality time. He told me early on that he could guarantee that “we would have many experiences, some good and some not so good” and boy was he right. We have had some highest of highs and lowest of lows. Sometimes both on the same day, but we are resilient, and these experiences led us to build a life together that only dreams are made of. We built our estate out of love, blood, sweat, tears; and lots of “meltdowns” on my part. That is when Mark’s patience became invaluable.

We both work in health care. He is a Doctor, a Geriatrician to be exact and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, so taking care of people is “our thing”. We have been blessed in so many ways. We have a beautiful property, lifelong friends, supportive family members, and a desire to create something wonderful out of nothing, then share it with others….

Deer Ridge Estate

Deer Ridge Estate is located on 160 picturesque acres, overlooking a pond, and encircled by many trees. The estate includes a 10,000-square foot lodge that can accommodate small and large events. The lodge has concrete floors, heating and air-conditioning, large restrooms, a commercial kitchen, built in bar, a mezzanine with an additional bar area and seating, two covered porches, a deck overlooking the pond, a circle drive for drop off and pick up and plenty of parking.

The Estate also has an open-air chapel and the ability to host services inside or outdoors. It is possible to have the service and reception in the same location. There are four bedrooms with on-suite bathrooms, plus Bride and Groom’s dressing rooms with access to their own private deck. Your entire wedding party can prepare for your special day in one place, with plenty of space and privacy!
